I used to do this on Blogger. Now I do it here. It's easier.

Rainbow Checks

China Glaze Sugar High, China Glaze Papaya Punch, Sally Hansen Espresso Yellow, China Glaze Gaga for Green, China Glaze Electric Beat, Finger Paints Aren’t You Glad-iolus?, Black Striper

Candy Corn

Well, it’s midway through October, which can only mean one thing- Halloween nails!

Meh, I should have stopped before I added the black glitter.

WetnWild White Creme, Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow, China Glaze Life Preserver, Nicole by OPI Pitch Black Glimmer

My bottle of Peachy Keen leaked.

And here’s the reason for the delay-

Was waiting for it to grow back enough to paint again.

Verdant Stripes

Trying out something new. Instead of just listing the polishes I used, I’ll put up a picture! Yeah, I never thought of that before.  Doh.

Righty was a bit more photogenic today.  Odd.

Ugh Blurry.  China Glaze Starboard, China Glaze Re-Fresh Mint, Sally Hansen Green with Envy, Orly Enchanted Forest.  And that’s Seche in the OPI bottle, I prefer the brush so I poured it in a spare bottle.

I’m so sorry about my lack of posts lately (two weeks working summer camps, plus prepping for them will sap all your time and energy). In exchange, may I offer an amusing anecdote?

My Sally’s store workers recognize me now.  I walked in this afternoon looking for the new China Glaze Crackle Metal collection.  They had a display out for the old crackles (that was empty) but no metal crackles.  One of the little helpers (I swear they have a new one every week) scurried up and asked if I needed anything and I asked when they were planning on getting them in.

“Friday!” the cashier behind the counter shouted across the room.  I thanked her and said I’d be back in then.  She told me to hang on a second, and wanted to know which ones I wanted so she could hold them back for me.  I couldn’t exactly remember all the colors, and was wracking my brain to figure it out.  She got a funny look on her face, told me to wait, then trotted off to the back room.  A moment later she returned with five bottles in her hands- the new crackles.

“Which ones do you want?” I took all of them but the gold (I already have the gold Sally Hansen, and they look very similar) and she rung them up for me.

“You’re the first one to get these.” she said.  “But you didn’t get them here.”

“I didn’t?” I asked, smiling.

“Nope.  Or if you did, you didn’t get them until Friday.”

“Oh!  I’m coming back up on Friday to go shopping!  I’ll just nip in and pick them up then.”

The poor floor helper was looking rather confused during this whole exchange.  The cashier turned and said,

“She comes in every time there is new nail polish.  Sometimes she’s a week early, but she comes in every time. Every Time.”

I think I’m a bit of a legend.

Sunflowers

Ulta Soho Bleu, Sally Hansen Espress-o Yellow, China Glaze Lighthouse, Finger Paints Sketchy Character.

And another, trying to show the glitter.  Crazy Close-up!

Ugh. Flaky fingers.

10 Day Nail Challenge: Day 7

Day 7: Favorite brand of nail polish.

Ooh,  tough one.  I’d probably say that my favorite colors are China Glaze, but I seem to have a whole ton of Sally Hansen.  I think their collection is really diverse.

Boring post is boring.

10 Day Nail Challenge: Day 5

Day 5: A picture of your favorite nail polish collection.

Oddly enough, this one:

At the time, I didn’t care for cremes.  Now I wear them all the time because they are awesome for art.  I’m pretty sure I bought all of these but maybe one.

Raindrops

Good night, my hands look awful.  That’s what I get for skipping the lotion before hand.

China Glaze Sea Spray, Love My Nails Angel Baby

And they look so rounded!  What is this sorcery?!

Anyway, they vaguely remind me of reflections in raindrops.  Shaddup and leave me to my whimsy.
